Foggy morning today. Looks like the tree is tucking in the trailer for a nap.

Our neighbor is just a fence away from the airstream clearing, with a baby citrus orchard on the other side. He likes carrots, and apples that we’ve thrown on the ground one too many times. Occasionally, he likes to escape at a the pace of a snail down the road.

Building a wall for a space with curved sides and the wrong tools in your hands is challenging. (And messy.) This is the wall we created for the “Bed Fort”. Construction wasn’t exact, involved some cursing, lots of on-the-fly choices, some wine, and went late into the night a few times. But the end result is a bed at the back of the Airstream with an insulated wall and a raised person-sized door. (The only “cat-free” zone in the space.)

I’d consider it the grown-up version of a fort made out of chairs and sheets. Super fun to climb into, as it’s like a secret room. Eventually we hope to cover the pegboard with wallpaper, and use it for bonus storage space.

Stopped by the ocean to say hi. California beach in February is much like an Oregon beach in August.
